CBT Supervision with a BABCP-Accredited Supervisor
… who doesn’t take herself too seriously.
Hi, I’m Carina (she/her) :-)
If you're looking for online CBT supervision with a clinical supervisor who’s experienced and knows her stuff, but is first of all human, I might be your person.
I’m accredited by the BABCP (British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies) as a CBT Supervisor, I’m a CBT Course Supervisor on one of London’s biggest and most reputable BABCP-Accredited CBT courses, and I also provide CBT supervision in my other job as Senior CBT Therapist in the NHS.
So, whether you’re training, newly qualified, or been around the block for a while, I’m here to help you continue to develop your CBT skills, general clinical skills, but also think about process issues and who you are (and want to be) as a therapist - all while we’re both sipping tea, having a little rant, and showing each other our respective pets. (or I’ll at least volunteer Calli, my dog).
CBT Supervision with me. Your space.
If you’ve ever had a CBT supervisor you didn’t ‘click’ with, who kept banging on about things you didn’t agree with but you were too self-conscious to ask more questions, or who took charge of the session so you left feeling more confused, you know how important it is to find someone you can be yourself with.
Someone you can ask any question because you don’t feel judged, someone who shares their own experiences, someone who supports you not just in getting better at CBT, but also at being the kind of therapist you want to be. Someone who is human first.
That’s who I want to be for you.
And the good news is, we can decide together if I am! Whatever your experience, goals, or caseload, we’ll work together to make sure you get the most out of your CBT supervision time.

What CBT supervision with me can help with
Developing and practising formulation and treatment skills, especially transdiagnostically - think sharing formulation diagrams on screen and refining them, thinking about treatment plans, role-playing bits of interventions, listening to recordings and feeding back (oh no, the dread!)
Thinking through process issues like how to handle difficult moments
Learning about, or developing what you already know in terms of integrating Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into your CBT practice - or even working start to end in ACT way
Thinking a bit more about your values and your style - who do you want to be as a therapist?
Developing your confidence and thinking through stuff that comes up for you as a therapist
Talking about career progression and options
I offer CBT Clinical Supervision incorporating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based work from London, but fully online - so we can work together even if we live miles apart (the only thing to keep in mind is that I will be best informed about standards, regulations, and services in the UK, and cannot supervise therapists in the US and Canada due to licensing).
You can show up in a familiar, comfy space, with a hot drink, and get to work with the best supervisor for you, while getting the same benefits.
Online CBT Supervision From London - For Qualified and Trainee Therapists Across the UK and More
How online CBT supervision with me works
-
You can (and should!) have a free 15-minute intro call to make sure we click.
After that, all supervision sessions last 60 minutes and take place online, usually on Zoom.
-
CBT supervision sessions cost £125 per 60 minutes.
-
There’s no straight-forward answer to this as it will depend on your experience, goals, and caseload.
The BABCP requirement for ongoing or reinstating accreditation is a minimum of 1.5 hours per month if you work full-time, or a minimum of 45 minutes per month if you work part-time - it’s recommended that this is pro-rata based on your clinical work.
The BABCP also suggest that newly-qualified therapists have a higher frequency and duration of supervision than more experienced colleagues.
-
Although I have lots of experience in ‘second-wave’ CBT and that’s what I mostly supervise nowadays, my passion lies in mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
So, I can (and love to!) also offer ACT supervision, and/or supervision around integrating ACT and mindfulness approaches into CBT.
I also have experience and knowledge in working with neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ clients.
Let’s work together!
Get in touch if you prefer exchanging a few lines in writing first, or book a free intro call (a no-pressure 15-minute chance to ask me any questions, and more importantly, see if we ‘click’). You can also book straight into a CBT clinical supervision session to get the full experience and cut the intermediate steps.
